Ahmet Aslan, a talented musician known for his innovative approach to Anatolian music, will be performing a solo concert at the Beylikdüzü Atatürk Culture and Art Center. Born in 1971 in Dersim, Aslan has spent years honing his craft, studying at Istanbul Technical University Conservatory from 1993 to 1996 before moving to Germany, where he continues to create music that resonates with audiences.
His debut album, “Va u Waxt (Rüzgar ve Zaman),” was released in 2003, showcasing his unique sound that blends traditional Anatolian melodies with western instruments. Following this, he released “Veyve Milaketu (Meleklerin Dansı)” in 2008, further establishing his presence in the music scene. Aslan has also pursued education in World Music, completing his studies at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam between 2008 and 2012.
In addition to his solo work, Aslan has collaborated with various musicians and has been involved in numerous projects, including the creation of a unique instrument that combines classical guitar and bağlama. His latest album, “Dornağê Budelay (Budala Aurası),” released in 2019, continues to reflect his experimental style and dedication to reinterpreting folk melodies.
