Peradi Ensemble Concert

The Peradi Ensemble Concert showcases a unique vocal group formed in Istanbul in 2019, consisting of nine women who bring together a rich tapestry of voices and languages. The name ‚Peradi‘ derives from the Georgian word for ‚color,‘ symbolizing the diversity of sounds, cultures, languages, memories, and emotions represented by the ensemble.

With a repertoire that spans folk melodies from regions such as Anatolia, the Balkans, and the Caucasus, the ensemble performs songs from around the world, incorporating approximately 25 different languages including Turkish, Georgian, Laz, Megrelian, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Kurdish, Arabic, Ladino, Pontic Greek, Romanian, and French. Their unique approach involves rearranging these melodies with their vocal interpretation, blending polyphonic structures with traditional instruments to create a captivating performance.
