212 Photography Istanbul returns from 26 September to 11 October 2026, transforming galleries, museums and cultural venues across Istanbul into a citywide celebration of photography. Now in its ninth edition, the festival brings together internationally acclaimed photographers alongside emerging talents through exhibitions, talks, workshops, film screenings and special events.

Rather than taking place at a single venue, the festival invites visitors to discover Istanbul through a network of carefully selected locations on both the European and Asian sides of the city. Historic buildings, contemporary art spaces and cultural institutions become part of a festival route that combines photography with architecture, history and urban exploration.

The programme showcases a wide range of photographic practices, from documentary and fine art photography to fashion, portraiture and experimental visual storytelling. Alongside major exhibitions, visitors can attend artist talks, panel discussions, workshops and screenings featuring photographers, curators and creative professionals from Türkiye and around the world.
