Payam Ghasemi Quintet Concert

The Payam Ghasemi Quintet concert takes place at Beykoz Kundura, featuring a unique series that showcases different musicians every last Saturday of the month. Set in the natural atmosphere of Beykoz and the industrial heritage of Kundura, this concert series emphasizes sharing, listening, and spending time together. Each month, a new musician and project will be featured, making music an integral part of the evening’s flow.

As a Marseille-based jazz fusion group, the Payam Ghasemi Quintet combines modern jazz, groove, and the musical colors of the Middle East in their original compositions. Led by Payam Ghasemi, the ensemble explores a wide range of musical expressions, navigating between modal nuances and powerful rhythmic energies. Their performances are characterized by fluid melodies, deep grooves, and spontaneous dialogues, allowing each musician to freely express their voice while creating a collective expression that is rooted yet contemporary.

As part of their Turkey tour, the Payam Ghasemi Quintet invites audiences on an impressive musical journey where jazz meets Middle Eastern melodies. The lineup includes Samuel Diouf on piano, Max Atger on saxophone, Matthew Bumgardner on trombone, Payam Ghasemi on bass, and Cedrick Bec on drums.
